Hi, I’m Bettina, and I’m so glad you’re here.
I am a mom in a beautifully chaotic blended family. Between a teenager, a pre-teen, and a wild little toddler, life is anything but dull. I share this adventure with my saint of a spouse and our two dogs, all of us nestled in the heart of Northern Ontario.
By day, I am a full-time social worker, walking alongside individuals and families as they navigate life’s toughest challenges. By passion, I am a photographer, capturing the raw, beautiful, and fleeting moments that tell our stories. And by heart, I am a writer, here to share the ups, downs, and in-betweens of motherhood, womanhood, and everything in between.
Yes, this blog is about motherhood. But it’s also about so much more. It’s about rediscovering ourselves beyond the title of “mom.” Society has a way of placing us in a box, defining us solely by our role as mothers, as if that is the entirety of our being. And while, yes, motherhood is a huge part of our identity, we are also women with dreams, ambitions, and personal journeys that extend beyond parenting.
This space is for you—for all women who are learning to love themselves again, who are redefining what it means to be whole, and who are embracing every messy, beautiful part of life.
Here, we will talk about the real and raw sides of motherhood, but we will also dive into relationships, personal struggles, careers, fitness, and self-growth. Because we are complex, multi-faceted, and ever-evolving. And that deserves to be celebrated.
So, welcome. I hope you find connection, encouragement, and maybe even a little bit of yourself in these pages.
